Piano lessons are available for adults, using books written for adults, or using the music that students may already own. The fee for piano lessons is $50 for a 45-minute lesson and $60 for an hour lesson. I do not require students to pay ahead or by the month.
I teach piano to adult beginners and returners. Don't wait another year to begin to learn to play the piano or to return to the piano! At this point in my life, I enjoy "rebooting" my love of playing the piano and performing on the piano. I love to share that joy with other adults.
In addition to teaching piano lessons, I can teach music theory, ear training, rhythm skills, chord symbol reading (as in jazz chord symbols or fake book reading), music history, and music technology. The fee for all music related lessons is exactly the same as the fee for piano lessons.
I am experienced with Audacity Music Recording and Editing, iMovie, and iTunes. I can help you with recording and editing your own music, arranging your own music, creating and launching YouTube videos with your edited music, creating mp3 files of your music, creating loops of music to assist you with practicing and improvisation, and organizing your photos into a slideshow with music, either for public or private viewing on YouTube. All technology or music arranging projects fees are based on a hourly rate of $100 an hour.
